The story of those great products you find in your neighborhood Braum's Store starts right here on our family farm. Bill and Mary Braum live and work on the farm and take great personal pride in producing the finest products available. Their sons and daughters also work at Braum's continuing the family tradition.

The story of Braum's Dairy Products begins from the ground up. Modern agricultural practices are combined with three generations of farming knowledge to produce crops that provide the highest quality ration for our herd of dairy cows. All this is done without compromising the beauty of the land. The Braum farms provide homes to a variety of wildlife. It's not unusual to see ducks wintering on the many ponds; or to marvel at the large numbers of geese flying into the farms and feeding in the fields. Deer and antelope are frequent companions of the workers in the fields. When we work this close to nature, it's easy to see why we are so interested in what's natural.

The Braum Farm at Tuttle, Oklahoma, is the flagship of our farming operations. We raise alfalfa and corn and maintain our dairy herd. Wheat and barley are produced as winter cover crops. They are planted in the fall and harvested in the spring. We "chop" these nutritious grasses to produce "green chop" which is packed in giant concrete silos for use in our dairy rations. After the wheat and barley are harvested the same fields are planted to corn.
