South Oklahoma City’s new Braum’s Ice Cream and Dairy Store, located at 7300 South Shields, opened on Monday, September 28th.

This new store is a “W” model and the company's latest, most modern store design with 5,756 (five thousand seven hundred fifty six) square feet and seating for 86 guests. The new store replaced the older location at 3217 South Shields originally built in November 1986. The older store closed its doors at 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 27th and the new store opened the next morning at 6:oo am.

This is the third “W” store design to open in the Oklahoma City area. The first opened at 39th and Tulsa in December 2007 and the second at Interstate 40 and Mustang Road in July of this year.

Because of its size, the new store required more employees - about 50-60 - which meant increased job opportunities in the OKC area.
